For some reason when I sign on to AOL the Microsoft Internet explorer opens also in the background displaying submenus: For instance: Microsoftexplorer, channels, media, communication, etc., with folders for each submenu. And when I continue to choose Microsoft explorer so I can do critical updates, the page is so small I cannot access to read. Please advise. Thanks.

I think your best bet is to talk to the people at AOL.  It most likely is a problem with their software, not your computer.

1.  AOL is a waste of time (and money)
2.  When you have a problem with AOL, talk to AOL.  America On-Line can be really buggy.  There are lots of versions of their software and sometimes they can confict each other.
